The treasury of statues is one of the unique collections in the country with 1321 statues and busts in a variety of shapes and made of different materials. The works of this treasury include constructed volumes, sculptures and statues of humans or animals, made of gypsum, metal or stone. Objects from different historical periods including works of the contemporary era, whether Iranian or non-Iranian are kept in this collection. The majority of non-Iranian works of this treasury are European and often French metal works related to the nineteenth century. Among the Iranian works, in addition to statues and sculptures of Iranian personalities, metal works related to religious rituals and mourning ceremonies are preserved. In general, the Iranian works of this collection can be classified in two broad categories of pre-Islamic and Islamic period sculpture, and in the case of non-Iranian works, they are categorized as works from Europe, Asia, the United States, Africa and Oceania.
